The selection process for the Santa Laurensia Junior High School English Writing Club has been compleated and the judges have decided on the 5 members of the club (excluding the PICs). The following are the selected members:

3. Karin Novelia (7F / 20)
4. Gregorius Erico (8A / 15)
5. Silvia Katarina (8B / 27)
6. Felicia Rebecca Isjwara (8C / 13) (PIC)
7. Yudhistira Andersen Bunjamin (8D / 34) (PIC)
These 7 students will embark on the journey of a lifetime and compete in various writing competitions.

Available Awards Of Writing Competition
The following are the available awards for the Essay Round of "English Writing Club Selection Writing Competition 2009 - 2010"
1. Best Overall (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
2. Best Essay For The "Narrative" Category
3. Best Essay For The "Descriptive" Category
4. Best Essay For The "Argumentative/Persuasive" Category
5. Best Essay For The "Expository/Informational" Category
6. Best Overall Content
7. Best Overall Language Usage
8. Top 25% (The percentage will be adjusted accordingly depending on the number of participants)
9. Certificate Of Participation (Awarded to all participants)
10. Honourable Mentions (Awarded to participants or specific essays that are considered outstanding)
Other awards will also be awarded whenever the judges feel necessary. For awards number 2 - 7, an second and third place will be awarded whenever the judges feel that the essays deserve special recognition.

Extension Of Deadline
The deadline of the "Santa Laurensia Junior High School English Writing Club Selection Writing Competition 2009 - 2010 Essay Round" has been extended.
Please note that the deadline has been extended to 15 January 2010. Submit your essays in hard copy to either Rebecca (8C) or Yudhi (8D) or e-mail your essays to writingclub.smplaurensia@gmail.com before the deadline.
